What are the system requirements for KNCTR?

Computer / Processor: Intel© Pentium© II 450MHz, AMD Athlon© 600MHz or faster processor (or equivalent) Recommended processor: 1.2 GHz + (or equivalent) for smoother video playback

Will KNCTR work on a Mac?

It is currently under development. A Mac version is not yet supported and we cannot guarantee the results at this time.


If you choose to install at this time (at your own risk), the following has been reported as a possible solution:
1. In Parallels Desktop 4.0, dowload the .msi in Internet Explorer (NOT from OS X browser).
2. Install your Windows operating systems just as you would normally, within Parallels. This has only been tested with XP.


If you experience any issues with Flash, we suggest that you may require an updated version of Adobe Flash.
1. Close ALL applications that may use Flash (IM, Browsers, KNCTR (fully shut down, not just click the X, etc.).
2. In Windows Control Panel under ADD/REMOVE programs, uninstall anything Flash.
3. With all other browsers, etc. still closed, open an Internet Explorer window, go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ and install within Internet Explorer while running in Parallels.

Will KNCTR work on Linux?

KNCTR cannot be installed or run on a Linux system at this time.

How do I shut down my KNCTR?

Locate the KNCTR icon in the system tray on the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Right-click on the KNCTR icon and select the 'Shutdown' option.

I started my computer but my KNCTR did not load automatically.

Double click on the KNCTR icon located on the desktop or open KNCTR from the program list.

Can I increase the size of my KNCTR on my desktop?

Unfortunately, not at this time. This feature is currently under development.

Can I customize the look of my KNCTR?

Customization is not available at this time but may be available in the future.

How do I adjust the volume on my microphone or speakers?

On your KNCTR, locate the two sliders in the Phone component, below Place Call and End Call. There, the two sliders that move Left and Right will control the volume for your microphone and speakers respectively. Moving to the Left will increase the volume, and moving to the Right will decrease the volume.

Can I use any type of microphone?

Yes, any type of microphone that is compatible with your computer will work with KNCTR. If you choose to use the built-in microphone on a laptop, you may need to adjust the settings to avoid an echo.

Does KNCTR support video chats via webcam?

No, KNCTR does not support video chats at this time. However, if your webcam has a built-in microphone you may use it for voice purposes only.

Can I choose the type of advertisements I see on my KNCTR?

When you registered for your KNCTR, you may have agreed to answer a few questions that will help us customize the advertisements you will see in the future. If you are interested in having advertisements customized to your interests, be sure to complete any subsequent surveys you see on your KNCTR.

Can I remove the advertisements from my KNCTR?

Your KNCTR and all of its features including videos and peer to peer (computer to computer) and off net calling (computer to land line or cell phones) are available to you free of charge thanks to the advertisements so we are unable to remove them from your KNCTR.

Can I pay to remove the ads from my KNCTR?

Your KNCTR and all of its features including videos and peer to peer (computer to computer) and off net calling (computer to land line or cell phones) are available to you free of charge thanks to the advertisements so we are unable to remove them from your KNCTR.

Are there any security or privacy options & settings on my KNCTR?

Are there any parental controls on my KNCTR?

This feature is currently under development.

Do you have spyware or adware on my KNCTR?

No, we have no adware, spyware or malware on the KNCTR.

Can I download my KNCTR to another computer?

Yes you can. Your KNCTR can be loaded onto different computers using the same account information but only one KNCTR can be logged on at a time.

I have lost my KNCTR Account Access Key and System Password Key

This code was contained in the registration email you received when you signed up for KNCTR. If you no longer have this email, please contact our Customer Support Center at info@knctr.com for further assistance.

Can I run KNCTR on more than one computer at the same time?

Although KNCTR can be installed on any number of computers using the same account, only one KNCTR can be logged in at a time.

Do I have control of the setup options for KNCTR?

Control of the Setup Options for the KNCTR are not available at this time.

Is there a way to see ALL of the available content on one list?

Due to the number of videos available on your KNCTR, it is not possible to show all available content on one list. All of the videos/clips are listed individually by show/category.

Can I have multiple accounts on a single KNCTR?

No, each KNCTR is limited to a single unique registered user.

Can I have the same user name on more than one KNCTR?

No, individual user names are specific to KNCTR.

Can I change or download my KNCTR in another language?

This feature is currently under development.

How can I access the FAQ page?

Click on the HELP button, located on the right side of the KNCTR app

How can I make a comment?

Please contact our Customer Service Center at info@knctr.com, where we'll be happy to address any issues you may have. We also have a feedback section in the Social Media component where we'd love to hear your comments. The feedback icon is located just under the Twitter and RSS icons.

Is there a way for me to share KNCTR with a friend?

Absolutely!! There are options to share with friends over your social networks. There are Share buttons within the Facebook and Twitter applications.

When I make a peer to peer call, the other person tells me that my voice quality is poor. Is there any way to improve it?

Do I have to dial "1" in front of the phone number?

No. Your free calls across North America require just a 10 digit phone number to a mobile, landline phone, or KNCTR account number (555-555-5555).

Can I call 1-800 or toll free phone numbers from my KNCTR?

No, you can only make peer to peer (computer to computer) calls, which is from one KNCTR to another KNCTR or call from your KNCTR to a home/business/cell phone (computer to off net).

Can I call 911 or emergency services from my KNCTR?

No, you cannot call 911 or emergency services using your KNCTR. If you require any emergency assistance, please dial 911 from your cell phone or land line.

Can I make local or long distance calls with my KNCTR?

Yes, by using the voice communication system you can make FREE phone calls to anywhere in North America. When you dial long distance there is no need to dial a 1 before the area code and number.

What is my KNCTR phone account and phone number?

Your KNCTR phone number is activated and shown after you register your account by clicking on the Green button, located under the phone number input box, below the Settings button. The KNCTR number should begin with 700 and you may call other KNCTR phone numbers.

When I disconnect a peer to peer call, the number stays on my display.

We are currently working on this issue. If you are experiencing this issue, please delete the number manually.

The videos I have selected aren't loading.

1. Please check your internet connection to make sure it is working properly.
2. Shut down KNCTR and restart it.
3. Your Flash program may not be up to date or may not have installed properly. Please visit adobe.com for the latest version of Flash.

The player is showing me a "video not found" message.

Please return to the video menu and choose an alternative video or clip to watch. We ask you to please report the dead link to us at info@knctr.com

Can I download video content from my KNCTR?

All of the content on KNCTR is proprietary to (or under license) the KNCTR and itiBiti Inc. and may not be downloaded, duplicated or transmitted in any way.

Can I embed content from my KNCTR on to another website?

All of the content on KNCTR is proprietary (or under license) to the KNCTR and Itibiti Ventures Inc. and may not be downloaded, duplicated or transmitted in any way.

Can I go back to the menu while a video is playing?

Yes, you may click on the Video Menu at any time to open and browse through videos. To close the Video Menu, simply click the Close Menu button.

Can I stop a video part of the way through and go back to the list of clips.

Yes, at any point while a video is playing, you can click on the Video Menu button to see the list of video channels and corresponding videos to browse through. The video will be stopped when a new video has been selected. Alternatively, you may fast forward to the end of the clip/video or wait for the ending.

Can I see a list of every clip available on the player?

No, clips are grouped by each individual channel and can't be viewed altogether on one list. Select the channel you are interested in for a list of available clips to browse through.

How do I skip to the next clip?

This feature is currently under development.

How do I uninstall KNCTR?

"To uninstall the KNCTR app, please complete the following:

1. Right click on the KNCTR icon located in the Windows System Tray (by the clock on the lower right corner of the screen). You may have to click on the arrow to show hidden icons.

Will all of the associated files be removed when I uninstall KNCTR?

Yes, all files associated with KNCTR will be removed from your computer once you have uninstalled the program.

Can I reactivate my KNCTR if I uninstall it?

Yes, however you will have to go through the installation process from the beginning using the original registration information originally sent to you. If you cannot find this information, contact our Customer Support Center at info@knctr.com for further assistance.

My KNCTR Account Access Key and System Password Key do not work.

Please remember this code is case sensitive. Ensure the caps lock is not engaged and type the Account Access Key and System Password Key exactly as is appears in your confirmation email. If you still encounter issues with this code after following these steps, click on the link for our Customer Support Center for further assistance.

Can I install KNCTR on more than one computer, using the same account?

Yes you can. KNCTR can be installed on any number of computers using the same account but only one KNCTR can be logged in at a time.

Can I change the installation location of KNCTR on my computer?

Yes, the installation location may be changed on your computer by the user when completing the set up procedure.

Where has KNCTR installed on my computer?

You will find the installed files on your computer at C:\Program Files\Itibiti Inc\Itibiti VoIP Soft Phone or at C:\Program Files (x86)\Itibiti Soft Phone.

When I download KNCTR, what will the name of the file be?

The file name of the download will be Itibiti_Knctr.exe

I am trying to download KNCTR but the link does not work.

The KNCTR app did not fully download.

If KNCTR did not fully download, please try again from the beginning. If you continue to encounter problems with the download process, please contact our Customer Support Center by emailing us at info@knctr.com.

I have downloaded KNCTR but it will not open.

When downloading the application, choose the "Save As" option when prompted. Save the file to your Desktop. Once the download has completed, locate the file on your desktop and double-click to continue with the installation.

How do I manually update my KNCTR?

To manually update your KNCTR, find the KNCTR icon located in the bottom right corner of your Windows Task bar. Right click the icon and choose "Updater".

Will I automatically receive updates for my KNCTR?

Yes, every time you turn on your computer, your KNCTR will let you know if an update is available and will ask you to update at that time. Alternatively, you can check for available updates by right clicking on the KNCTR logo in your icon tray located in the lower right corner of your screen and click on Updater.

Can I download different versions of KNCTR?

New versions and updates for your KNCTR, when available, will be downloaded through the update feature.

How can I access my Facebook/Twitter acount on KNCTR?

Click the Facebook/Twitter icons located in the middle of the app, and each icon will load its respective social media component. Each social media will have its own tabs to access different features.

Can I add different applications/social media networks to the Social Media component?

This feature is currently under development, but we'd love to hear from you in the feedback section to see what kinds of social media networks/apps you'd like to use in KNCTR. The feedback section is located as a black icon with a white envelope, found below the orange RSS icon.

Can I change or rearrange the icons on the Social Media component?

This feature is currently under development.

How many RSS feeds can I add?

You may add one RSS feed only. It will be added to the drop down menu list of RSS feeds, however this added RSS feed may be edited and/or removed from the list.

The video player on my KNCTR is running slowly.

1. Check your internet connection to see if it is working properly and ensure that your computer meets all of the minimum system requirements.
2. Shut down KNCTR completely and then restart it.
3. Try closing any open applications you may have running in the background. Bandwidth intensive applications such as BitTorrent can effect the quality of streaming for both voice and video. Also, make sure that no other computers on a home network are downloading files/consuming large amounts of bandwidth.
4. If you are still encountering problems with KNCTR after following these steps, please contact our Customer Support Center at info@knctr.com and we will try and assist you in resolving this issue.

KNCTR takes a long time to load.

1. Check your internet connection to see if it is working properly and ensure that your computer meets all of the minimum system requirements.
2. Close down KNCTR completely and then restart it.
3. Try closing any open applications you may have running in the background.
4. Your Flash program may not be up to date or may not have installed properly. Please visit adobe.com for the latest version of Flash.
If you are still encountering problems with KNCTR after following these steps, please contact our Customer Support Center at info@knctr.com and we will try and assist you in resolving this issue.

Some areas of my KNCTR are blank and will not load.

1. Check your internet connection to see if it is working properly and ensure that your computer meets all of the minimum system shutdown KNCTR completely and then restart it.
2. Try closing any open applications you may have running in the background.
3. Try closing KNCTR app then right click on the icon, in the Windows System Tray and select "Shutdown", and re-open the KNCTR app. If you are still encountering problems with the KNCTR after following these steps, it is possible that Flash is not working properly. Try uninstalling Flash by clicking the Start menu, clicking on Control Panel and then Add & Remove Programs. Choose Flash from the list and remove this program. Once that is complete, go to adobe.com and follow the instructions for installing Flash.
